Join the team running Red Hill's spirit wear program. Committee members help with design input, promoting sales to families, sorting and distributing orders, managing inventory, and staffing spirit wear pop-ups at school events. A fun, hands-on way to get involved and help kids and families rep their Red Hill Rocket pride.

Join the team — led by Ruth Aptaker, VP of Ways & Means — helping launch Red Hill's biggest fundraiser of the year! As our first-ever unified fall campaign, Rocket Rally brings the whole school together around a shared goal. Committee members will help shape this brand-new event by assisting with promotion to families, coordinating sponsorships and community supporters, managing student pledge pages, recruiting volunteers, and bringing the Rocket Rally Walk to life on Walk to School Day. Rocket Rally 2026 runs August 13 – October 7, with the Walk on Thursday, October 7. A high-impact, fun way to help create a new Red Hill tradition.

Own the strategy and execution of securing sponsors to support Red Hill. Responsibilities include building and growing our annual sponsorship program, recruiting event-specific sponsors, managing outreach and communications with prospective and current sponsors, and partnering with our tech and marketing teams to fulfill sponsor ad placements. A great fit for someone who works full-time but can carve out focused time on a computer to send outreach, build relationships, and grow the program. High-impact role with real flexibility — the work happens largely on your own schedule.

Own a fun, feel-good corner of our fundraising: helping Red Hill families turn their child's birthday into a celebration that gives back to the school. This role coordinates three birthday giving options families can choose from throughout the year. Birthday Book Club — managing book donations to the school library, including bookplates that name the birthday child Marquee Shoutouts — collecting birthday messages and coordinating with the school to get names up on the marquee Rock Garden — distributing rocks and supplies for families to paint and add to our campus rock garden

Arranges restaurant fundraiser nights where a portion of proceeds benefit the PTA. Planning for 3-4 during the year. Coordinates Kona Ice truck fundraiser days at the school. Works with Kona on 2-3 dates, ensure we have trash cans ready + supervise during.

Facilitates the Teacher Auction, a popular fundraiser, scheduled in November, featuring unique experiences and items offered by Red Hill staff. Works with teachers and staff to develop and gather their auction items, partners with the Tech Committee who manages the auction platform, helps communicate with parents about how to bid and participate, and coordinates winner follow-up and item fulfillment. A fun role for someone who enjoys working closely with staff and building excitement around one of the school's most-loved fundraisers.

Coordinates the Scholastic Book Fair, including setup, volunteer scheduling, sales, and teardown. This year's Book Fair will be March 1-5, 2027

Join the team — led by Jamie Sprague — helping plan Red Hill's annual fundraising Gala on April 3, 2027! Our biggest grown-ups night of the year, the Gala brings the Red Hill community together for an evening of fun, connection, and fundraising for our school. Committee members support the chair across every part of the event: securing sponsors and auction items, coordinating décor and venue logistics, promoting ticket sales, recruiting volunteers, and helping bring the night to life. A high-impact, hands-on role for parents who love event planning and want to play

Join the team — led by Kara Gregory — supporting our Women in HERstory assembly, a one-time event held each March that celebrates influential women throughout history. Committee members help bring the assembly to life by assisting with planning, preparing materials, and supporting day-of logistics. A meaningful, short-term way to get involved in a program that inspires students and honors trailblazing women.

Lead the planning and execution of this year's Open House. Responsibilities include coordinating with the school admin team on scheduling and logistics, securing and scheduling food trucks, promoting the event to families, and overseeing day-of setup and event flow. Ideal for an organized volunteer looking to make a meaningful impact on a key school event.

Lead the annual Family Skate Night, a spring event at Holiday Skate in Orange. Responsibilities include coordinating with the venue on event logistics, planning light décor and activities, recruiting volunteers, and promoting the event to families. A fun, low-lift role for someone who enjoys bringing the Red Hill community together for a casual night out.

Join the team — led by Melissa Mancilla — helping plan and run our end-of-year Field Day celebration in May. Committee members support the chair with organizing activities, gathering supplies, recruiting volunteers, and assisting with setup and day-of event flow. A fun, hands-on way to help bring one of the most exciting days of the school year to life.

Help bring our brand-new STEM Lab to life! Starting this year, every class at Red Hill will visit the STEM Lab once a month for hands-on science exploration, run in partnership with All Things Science. Committee members serve as the liaison between All Things Science, our school, and the Red Hill community — coordinating logistics, supporting weekly Wednesday sessions, communicating with families, and helping make sure every student gets the most out of the experience. A great fit for parents passionate about science, education, and creating new traditions at our school.

Join the team — led by Rashell Luna — helping spread the word about everything happening at Red Hill! Committee members support the chair across all PTA marketing and communications: creating social media content, designing flyers and graphics, drafting newsletters and announcements, managing family communications, capturing photos at events, and helping promote programs and fundraisers to the school community. A great fit for parents with a creative eye, a knack for writing, or experience in design, social media, or communications.

Join the committee for our Welcome Back Family Carnival on Thursday, August 27! Led by Carnival Chair Stephanie Webber, this is our second annual event and quickly becoming a Red Hill favorite. If you’re interested in helping plan or support the Carnival, please sign up, we’d love to have you on the team.

Join the team — led by Alexis Morfin — supporting our staff appreciation efforts and creating a welcoming atmosphere at PTA events. Committee members help plan and execute staff appreciation events, celebrate staff birthdays and special days throughout the year, provide coffee and treats for PTA meetings, and assist with hospitality for school and PTA gatherings. A great role for someone who loves making others feel valued and bringing warmth to our school community.

Leads BLAST, the Son and Loved Ones event — a fun night out for our Red Hill boys and their loved ones. Held at Irvine Lanes the last two years, though the chair is welcome to bring fresh ideas for the venue and format. Responsibilities include booking the venue, coordinating activities and any vendors, managing ticket sales, recruiting volunteers, and promoting the event to families. A great role for someone who loves event planning and creating a memorable night for our Red Hill community. Date for 2026/2027 event still TBD.

Serve as the dedicated representative for our SDC families within the PTA. Responsibilities include providing insight to ensure all events, programs, and communications are inclusive and accessible to SDC students, advocating for the needs of SDC families, and acting as a bridge between SDC parents, teachers, and the PTA board. A meaningful role for someone passionate about making sure every student feels seen, included, and celebrated.

Lead/support the creation of this year's Red Hill yearbook from start to finish. Responsibilities include managing the overall design and layout, coordinating photo collection across grades and events, working with the yearbook vendor on production and deadlines, overseeing sales and distribution, and leading a small committee of volunteers. A great role for someone organized and creative who wants to help capture and preserve the memories of the school year.
